Yoshitake VB-7 series Vacuum Breaker / Vacuum Relief Valve is installed downstream of Steam Control Valve whereby Vacuum is formed when the valve 100% close. This is due to steam becomes condensate as it losses heat. As the valve open, high pressure steam hits the condensate and creating Water Hammer. Not only that, the trapped condensate which can not be evacuated by Steam Trap could cause Corrosion.
